What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead a team of five Research, Teaching, and Extension (RTE) faculty librarians
- Strategize research services and directions for the humanities and social sciences
- Participate in outreach, instruction, and collection development
- Cultivate an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Develop and implement innovative programs with a user-centered approach
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience
- 3-5 years of demonstrated successful supervisory experience
- MLS; or master’s degree in a humanities or social science discipline and library work experience
- Proven ability to convey complex and nuanced ideas
- Cultivation of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Interest in emerging focus areas and technologies such as AI and critical digital literacies
- Academic preparation in Philosophy, Western European Studies, or American History
- Reading ability in a language other than English
