      Job Description

      Infosys is seeking a Lead Mainframe Developer
      This position’s primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.


      Candidate can be located within commuting distance of Southlake, TX or be willing to relocate to the area immediately. This position may require relocation and/or travel to project locations.

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
      • At least 4 years of experience with Information Technologies
      • Experience in mainframe architecture and solutioning with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2


      Preferred Qualifications

      • At least 6 years of experience with COBOL
      • At least 6 years of experience in JCL
      • At least 6 years of experience in CICS
      • At least 6 years of experience in DB2, SYNCSORT, EASYTRIEVE, VSAM
      • At least 6 years of experience in software development life cycle.
      • At least 6 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
      • At least 4 years of architectural experience – designing and solutioning applications
      • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
      • Experience in Financial Services domain
      • Experience in mainframe modernization and reverse engineering
      • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
      The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Extensive travel may be required as per client and project needs
