      The Lead Maintenance Mechanic will work in conjunction with the Maintenance manager providing support to the DSC/CTS Maintenance team. This position ensures that our DSC Warehouse and CTS Fleet is operating in the safest condition, meeting all DOT regulations, and maintaining a professional appearance. All CTS and DSC problems must be solved taking the budget, environment and safety into consideration.

      Additional Information:

      Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

      This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
      • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
      • Must have one (1) year of work experience in maintenance

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • At least have two (2) years of warehouse maintenance experience
      • At least have knowledge of eAM system (Enterprise Asset Management)
      • At least have experience with basic trailer repairs and tire

      Responsibilities

      The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing various purchasing and general administrative functions for the DSC and CTS; including scheduling delivery, maintaining inventory levels, organize/maintain inventory storerooms, purchasing records and systems, disposition of obsolete and/or surplus materials generation and completion of purchase orders, vendor contacts in invoicing errors, ensuring monthly budgets are met. Responsible for weekly work order scheduling with system generated work orders, orange cards and work request. Maintain PWCI CI goals and RX monthly scorecard. Adding and removing assets and activities to eAM to improve site needs. Ensure that our DSC/CTS Fleet is operating in the safest condition. Fleet uptime will also be a top priority so we can service our customers to the standards they require. Must be able to assist mechanics when needed. Effectively communicate with all operations through meetings and email.

      • Ensuring all fleet FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) inspections are in compliance
      • Ensuring trailer repairs and tire work are being performed safely and completed on time daily
      • Ensuring CTS/DSC inventory is at appropriate levels daily
      • Participating in monthly Rx (Reliability Excellence) training updates in order to support continuous improvement in Rx
      • Participating in monthly Safety training updates in order to support continuous improvement in Safety
      • Maintaining the highest level of safety in relation to the job duties performed within the CTS and DSC department and Operations
