We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to work with 3 dynamic and busy Council organisations:
• Cornwall Community Equipment Loan Service - Adults & Children’s (CELS)
• Tremorvah IndustriesAll 3 organisations sit within the Adult Social Care, Care & Wellbeing Directorate and feed into and use Cornwall Council systems, processes and policies. Combined budgets total around £9m per annum.
Based on 2 sites (1 in Threemilestone and 1 in Roche) these organisations offer a diverse range of products and services to the people of Cornwall. In addition Tremorvah is an income generating business as well as a supported business which offers employment and training opportunities for people with disabilities in Cornwall.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and/or Service Manager for the organisations you will be based at Tremorvah Industries in Threemilestone but be expected, on occasions, to travel to both sites to provide relevant financial information to the multi disciplinary management team. The Role has management responsibility for 2 finance staff based at Tremorvah Industries.Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified, Cornwall Council provides hybrid working policies allowing our staff to work from home subject to the needs of the business. About you
You will have a good understanding of commercial operations to be able to offer financial improvement and growth advice to our income generating teams but, as you will link closely with the relevant Council Financial departments, a knowledge of Cornwall Council or local authority financial processes would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant with strong commercial awareness who can join our ambitious team.
