      Responsibilities

      Systems Design & Engineering (70%)

      • Architect, implement, and maintain compute and storage platforms (Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Windows, Azure, AWS)

      • Serve as SME for both Linux and Windows systems, scripting, troubleshooting, and automation

      • Design Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments and maintain Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP

      • Centralize platform management through scripting and automation using native tools

      • Lead infrastructure failover strategies for operational continuity across data centers

      Documentation & Standards (10%)

      • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, configurations, and procedures

      • Define and enforce technical standards across systems infrastructure

      • Coordinate change management processes and ensure up-to-date system records

      System Monitoring & KPI Management (10%)

      • Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity, resolving utilization issues proactively

      • Report key performance and risk indicators (KPIs and KRIs) to leadership

      • Recommend new technologies and system upgrades to meet operational demands

      Technical Leadership (10%)

      • Serve as technical escalation point for engineers

      • Mentor mid-level and junior team members

      • Provide training and guidance to promote continuous learning and quality support


      Qualifications

      Education & Certifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

      • Microsoft Certification required

      • CISSP preferred

      Experience

      • 7+ years of systems administration or design in complex enterprise environments

      • Deep experience with Windows Server (2016+), Linux OS, PowerShell scripting, Active Directory, GPO

      • 5+ years in public cloud (Azure, AWS, IBM) and hybrid environments

      • Expertise in enterprise storage (Dell/EMC, vSAN), backup (Rubrik, Cohesity), and virtualization (VMware 7.x+)

      Nice to Have

      • Healthcare IT experience

      • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Entra Connect Sync

      The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $99K-$149K, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
