      Schedule: Full Time

      Shift: M-F, dayshift position with rotating shift times. The shift times are 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, and 8am-4:30pm. On Monday & Tuesday only, we have extended hours and there is a 9:30am-6pm shift. All shifts are rotated.

      The role you’ll contribute:

      The Lead Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. In addition, the Lead Pharmacy Technician assists in supervising the activities of the pharmacy department's team of Pharmacy Technicians and assists in the maintenance of the pharmacy's operations.

      • Hospital computer systems
      • Medication ordering systems

      Maintains operational expertise in, may actively provide coverage of, and proactively leads the technician services by:

      • Central Pharmacy
      • Sterile Compounding/Non-Sterile Compounding
      • Repacking/Delivery
      • Controlled Substances
      • Hazardous Medication Sterile Compounding
      • Quality Assurance & Sampling
      • ADC Support
      • Technician Inventory Check
      • Medication History
      • Supporting Clinical Services
      • Regulatory Compliance
      • RFID Technology
      • Purchasing and Contract Compliance

      Leads Technician Shift Operations

      • Maintains appreciation for competency to perform technician duties and roles as needed
      • Prioritizes work load, organizes work flow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities
      • Provides patient-centered care services
      • Collaborates with other pharmacy staff
      • Collaborates with care providers and pharmacists to optimize and improve services
      • Participates in departmental meetings and educational activities

      DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

      High School Grad or Equivalent and 3+ years experience

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

      • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
      • Leadership experience
      • Practice experience in an integrated health care system of three or more hospitals in the system
      • Data Analysis experience

      LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

      • PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician

      • Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians

      • Licensed Pharmacy Technician

      • Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation

      • Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
