  Lead Medical Physician

  Bupa Citi Health Centre London E14 5LB

  This is a great opportunity to join our Health Clinic at Canada Square, which is situated within only 5 mins walk from Canary Wharf Underground Station.

  We have a network of dedicated Bupa Health Clinics across the UK, and you will be joining a community of over 200 GP’s delivering services and treatments to everyone – not just those with health insurance

  What is a typical day?

  As the Lead physician, you will be required to:

  • Manage Bupa Health assessments/private GP work at Bupa Citi Health Centre
  • Manage a team comprised of salaried, self-employed and locum doctors
  • Oversee results management by clinicians in conjunction with the Health Advisor Team Manager
  • Encourage learning and development in the doctor team also providing coaching, mentoring and support of the doctor team as appropriate
  • Share communications/important information with the doctor team in the most appropriate way locally.
  • Arrange doctor meetings and circulate minutes
  • Support centre manager and admin team with clinical queries e.g. from bookings team, from customers
  • Work with colleague Lead Physicians to share best practice and support colleagues in their roles

  Who we’re looking for?

  • GMC registered with a licence to practice and on the GP register
  • Substantial postgraduate experience
  • Previous experience as an appraiser, mentor and in some kind of leadership role
  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction whilst maintaining commercial focus
  • Experience in managing underperformance/disagreements
  • Undertakes regular CPD activities in line with requirements of appraisal and revalidation
