      Job summary

      Prestige Medical Group is looking for an experienced and committed Nurse who will contribute positively to the Nursing team.

      You will either already be a lead Nurse or ready to make that next step.

      Independent in action but team-orientated, the role will suit an individual looking to have a voice in delivering care to our patient community.

      An essential clinical requirement is advanced diabetic clinical skills to enable the person to be the Practice Nursing clinical lead.

      Main duties of the job

      The role includes leadership as well as involvement in the practice nursing duties centring around health promotion, womens health and chronic disease management.

      The successful candidate would work within a team-based approach to the delivery of health care, would need good communication skills and good IT skills to embrace the changes to how we consult with patients.

      Our multi-disciplinary service offer to 16000 patients in Burnley, includes a team of 49 members, including 6 GP partners and 6 other GPs, 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 1 Paramedic Practitioner, 2 Specialist Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner, 3 GPAs and a highly skilled admin team. We are a long-established training practice and train GPs and support development roles in nursing, and have provided placements and employment opportunities to Physician Associates and Paramedics.

      Our primary focus for this role is the support of long-term condition patients through diagnosis, management and routine monitoring of their condition. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse willing to use motivational interview techniques in their patient consultations.
