      Lead Product Technician- Reports to Product Engineering Mgr

      Work Schedule- M-F 8am-4:30pm

      Job Location: Logan, UT


      At Spartronics, the Lead Product Technician leads technician activities by overseeing the development and maintenance of production programs and work instructions, implementing corrective actions, and applying deep expertise in failure analysis. Serves as a key liaison between engineering and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.


      What a Day Looks Like:

      • Oversees the creation, review, and maintenance of production programs and machine instructions to ensure alignment with engineering and production standards.
      • Oversees the scheduling and appropriating of work to the group of technicians.
      • Leads efforts to design and improve work instructions, test procedures, and production workflows in collaboration with engineers.
      • Provides advanced support in troubleshooting defects, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
      • Coaches and collaborates with technicians to ensure best practices in process documentation, setup, and execution.
      • Aids engineering in reviewing document packages for accuracy and manufacturability, contributing to product quoting and cost estimation.
      • Leads or participates in cross-functional teams focused on process improvements, quality assurance, and productivity enhancements.

      Requirements

      Education and Requirements:

      • 4+ years’ experience as an Electronics Technician
      • IPC-610 and J-STD-001 Solder Certification (Preferred)
      • Technical School Diploma/Certificate in Electronics Technology (Preferred); HS Diploma Required

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

      • Moderate level computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and CAD
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience in technical writing
      • Experience in working with cross-functional organizations.
      • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
      • Skilled in troubleshooting defects in a production environment
      • High level of attention to detail
      • Strong focus on documentation accuracy

      Requirements
