      Communications and Liaison, Office of Communications, Visual Education and Communications Branch

      Qualifications


      Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.       QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below:

      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equal to the GS-13 level in the Federal government including: Experience demonstrating accomplishment of planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive communications program that involves public information, internal information, marketing, media relations, and community relations that require a wide range of knowledge of communication requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. Experience analyzing a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of the communications program; developing resource guidance for various executive level activities and assessing the utilization of resources. Experience formulating and determining work activities for national and field media relations staff that are consistent with national policies and procedures, and facilitating communication among various divisions, organizations, and general and specialized audiences.
