- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- 3-5 years’ experience in building construction with a minimum of 1 year as a roofer
- Operate heavy equipment
- Able to perform inspections and estimates
- Responsible for replacing ceiling tiles
- Must be able to repair roof drains
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment
- Demonstrate and train other employees on various equipment as necessary
- Site preparation
- Haul trash and debris
- Repair and patch roofing leaks
- Replace building ceiling tiles
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Primary Purpose:
To maintain and make repairs to District roofing systems.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours. Walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying . Work outside and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noises.
