      Glenbrook Health Center is currently hiring a full time Lead Server to work between 6 AM – 2:30 PM , and evenings, including weekends and holidays. This is a no tipping environment. The Lead Server is responsible for table service within the Dining Rooms. This position must set the standard for all other servers to follow. The Lead Server is responsible for assisting management to ensure the highest standards of customer service are being achieved by the entire wait staff.Ability to effectively provide excellent service to several tables in any section of the Dining Room.Responsible for training new hires and teaching others how to effectively train when necessary.Work with management to handle any complaints and find solutions.Communicate and interact with other Kitchen employees including Chefs and Cooks.Assist with supervising the wait staff. These duties include: keeping everyone on task, delegating responsibilities, encouraging wait staff when necessary, and bringing problems to the attention of management.Work with management to coordinate and execute special functions and large parties. These duties will also require knowledge of event set-up and operations.Takes orders and provides service both graciously and courteously.Learning Menus and providing detailed information to Residents and Staff regarding ingredients, allergens and item origins.Help meet department standards by working with kitchen staff to ensure the best quality food is served to the Residents.Qualifications:Experience as a Waiter/Server in a hotel, full-service restaurant, country club and/or banquet hall strongly preferred.Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.High school graduate.Must meet requirement of hours as a full-time employee.Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.About GlenBrook Health Center:The five-star rated GlenBrook Health Center is located adjacent to the campus of La Costa Glen in Carlsbad, and offers 94 Skilled Nursing beds and 70 Assisted Living rooms with professional staffing 24 hours a day.
