- Perform technical oversight and assessment of development projects to ensure technical integrity and compliance with design requirements
- Design and develop highly scalable software products with extensive code coverage
- Ensure the engineering processes, from conception through to deployment, delivers high quality architecture and user experience
- Provide mentoring, guidance and technical leadership for the development team
- Develop and apply best practices for secure coding and TDD/BDD
- Research new technologies, tools and develop proof of concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year or experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related field.
- 6+ years of experience working as a developer on a software engineer team
- Working experience in full-stack development with PHP, jQuery, and Bootstrap, and relational databases, preferably MySQL or Postgres
- Additional experience in another tech stack such as Java, .Net or NodeJS
- Experience developing on AWS, preferably using infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform
- Works under broad direction, often self-initiated, and is fully responsible for meeting allocated objectives.
- Working experience realizing applications from conception and design to implementation and support
- Plans, schedules and monitors work to meet time and quality targets. Rapidly absorbs new information and applies it effectively.
- Leads system design discussions with team, taking input from organizational standards and architecture team partners, with a focus on delivering client value
- Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.
- Serves as a mentor to more junior team members, helping them deliver their work and improve their craft
- Working experience with application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
- Able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts, and explore and evaluate them systematically
- Able to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others
- Excellent communication skills; i.e., able to get one’s message understood clearly by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information
- Experience building and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people, working co-operatively with others to be part of a team

Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is hybrid and may be located in any of the following office locations: Atlanta, GA, Burlington, VT, or Oklahoma City, OK.

Job Overview:Using your expertise in PHP and Cloud technologies, you will help craft enterprise applications for our EV Battery Solutions group. A successful candidate in this role will work with their team to develop and maintain applications, including implementation of new capabilities and features, improving performance and maintainability, and reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. This person has a proven record of delivering quality software in an Agile environment. The Lead Software Engineer plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends, while also contributing to the growth of the other engineers they work with.
