Analyze, design, code, test, configure and modify software for our platform, integrations and services using various programming languages, technologies and development methodologies.
Design, develop, test, debug and implement platforms, pipelines, solutions and/or software tools, and utilities for the purpose of assuring acceptable performance and service levels.
Participate in the automated delivery of software using source control throughout the entire delivery model.
Ensures that implemented platforms, pipelines, and solutions are optimally monitored, with relevant alerts, logging and tracing that guarantees the durability, availability and performance of our services.
Mentor Junior engineering resources and ensure best SDLC practices are followed.
5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of leadership experience
Demonstratable working knowledge in the below used tech stack:
Python modules such as arq, tox, pytest, panda, pycodestyle and black.
Frameworks such as Fastapi, and Flywaydb. Postgres, Redis Queue and containers. These are part of our infrastructure that are deployed on-prem and in the cloud.
Git, Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and Docker Compose are used daily.
Our Agile methodology uses infrastructure such as Code (IaC) and crafts lite-weight asynchronous services with clean code that are tested.
Review complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
Resolve complex issues and lead the Engineering team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
Lead projects and act as an escalation point and provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Wells Fargo is seeking a collaborative Lead Specialty Software Engineer with a security mindset who would love to work in an agile team environment , someone who embraces and solves new technology challenges .
As a Lead Specialty Software Engineer on this team, you will lead the design, development. implementation and maintenance of solutions in support of DIME efforts that align and comply to the Wells Fargo cyber security strategy data strategy. Additionally, you will lead the engineering and provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing solutions to meet business and functional requirements
Data-In-Motion Encryption (DIME) is a high criticality program that mandates the data protection of restricted data. The DIME team will develop and implement a sustainable framework that identifies and protects restricted data.

Salary range:
$138,500 to $287,600 for NY, NY and Summit NJ depending on experience and expertise
$120,400 to $250,000 for TX and NC depending on experience and expertise
This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
