      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to work on the Operations Location Strategy Program, one of the company’s strategic priorities. The goal of the program is to address the fragmented presence in the US by consolidating into a small number of target locations.

      The program is led by the Operations Location Strategy (OLS), responsible for guiding Operations business units on the development and the execution of strategy to achieve the target state while managing execution risks and ensuring alignment across Operations as well as with the rest of the company.

      As part of OLS, the position is part of the Consumer Operations Coverage team that closely works with Consumer Operations with the goal of enabling the successful execution of the location strategy while updating the strategy and roadmap as necessary. The Consumer Operations Coverage Team is led by OLS Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant. The position will collaborate with partners from Consumer Operations, Corporate Properties Group, HR, Technology, Communications, Risk/Control, and other functional groups.

      Successful candidates will have experience in working on large-scale cross-organizational strategic initiatives to deliver tangible results. Experience in senior positions at top-tier management consulting firms, banking industry, and strategic initiatives functions would be a plus. Key skills include strategic problem solving and analysis, stakeholder management, change management, project management, data management, reporting, communication (written and oral), and teamwork. Advanced Power Point and Excel skills are required.


      In this role, you will:

      • Lead the execution of various site-specific cross-organizational projects or workstreams to exit from non-target markets and stand up presence in target markets
      • Update target end state and transition strategy/roadmap
      • Manage the development of implementation plan of site-specific projects and track progress, and identify/resolve issues in partnership with Operations business and functional partners
      • Solve problems/hurdles that need to be addressed to update strategy and execute market exit and transition to target markets
      • Establish strong partnership with and act as an advisor to Operations business and functional partners and help them complete their deliverables by providing thought leadership and using influencing skills
      • Guide Operations business on the assessment of execution risks and develop/execute mitigation measures
      • Manage data required for strategy development and execution
      • Conduct analysis and perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
      • Track progress and create reports to show progress and status of the program and individual projects
      • Help ensure consistency and alignment across Operations
      • Develop presentations for senior executives to provide update, facilitate decision making, and seek guidance
      • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
      • Collaborate and consult with members of the team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
      • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


      Required Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


      Desired Qualifications:

      • Experience in senior positions in management consulting firms with focus on banking, strategy or strategic initiative functions ideally in banking
      • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
      • Experience in leading large-scale cross-organizational strategic initiatives, transformation initiatives, and/or change management initiatives at large banks
      • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members across business units and functional groups
      • Strong track record of delivering tangible results
      • Strong background with data management and data analysis using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint
      • In-depth knowledge of Operations functions of a large bank
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
      • Experience in meeting facilitation, presentations and status reporting
      • Strong team orientation/teamwork


      Job Expectations:

      • Up to 10% of travel expected
