Job Description

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or another related field
- At least four years of experience in public accounting or an applicable corporate accounting environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, VBA)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- CPA license or candidate preferred but not required
- Previous experience with insurance accounting preferred
- Familiarity with Workday Financials general ledger application preferred
- This role reports out of Chevy Chase, MD and requires to be on-site 3 days a week
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%

The Lead Tax Accountant will work out of Plaza and report directly to the Corporate Tax Manager. In this role, you will assist with continuous improvement, automation, and internal control initiatives in support of corporate strategies; for example, you will be expected to drive automation of certain tax accounting tasks. You will also be designing and maintaining proper internal control structure, while effectively leading cross function teams in support of organizational and continuous improvement projects.
