      Job Description Summary

      As a Lead VAT Analyst, you'll play an integral part within GE Renewable’s Finance Hub in Budapest, Hungary. Supporting GE's affiliates across numerous countries in Europe, this role provides legal, regulatory and tax compliance for multiple GE entities and focuses particularly on VAT analyses, preparation and review.

      Job Description

      Essential Responsibilities

      • Ensure that VAT and associated returns are correct by reviewing them

      • Prepare complex VAT returns Identify potential VAT errors and work on corrective actions

      • Liaise with external advisor and business VAT managers to ensure compliance with local regulations& business policies

      • Provide training courses for VAT return preparer and other accounting functions to improve VAT compliance

      • Coordinate & work on European projects focusing on VAT process & system improvements like standardization and simplifications

      • Support VAT internal and external audits

      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s /master’s degree in finance/accounting

      • Written and verbal fluency in English

      • Proven experience of VAT, preferably in multinational environment

      • Excellent communication skills – ability to develop professional relationship with auditors, tax advisors and Business VAT Managers

      • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities/projects

      • Results orientated and ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines

      Desired Characteristics

      • SSC/Big4/multinational accounting experience

      • Proactive – always looking for better solution

      • Additional foreign European language skills
