      When someone joins Leadership Edge as a Leadership & Management Training Facilitator, they become part of a dedicated team that brings JPMorgan Chase’s firm wide suite of leadership and management training programs designed to help develop outstanding leaders at all levels of management across each line of business, function and region. These in-person and virtual-facilitated programs are rooted in the firm’s business principles, and firmwide management capabilities as part of Manager Effectiveness. Beyond the classroom, Leadership Edge offers learning resources and events to boost on-the-job learning, and partners with Talent/Learning & Development Human Resources colleagues on targeted organization development and manager-related initiatives.

      You will report to the Head of North America Faculty and will be located in the New York/New Jersey metro-area. Leadership Edge Facilitators are responsible for delivering Management Learning Programs in-person and virtually all the way from first-time managers to the most senior levels of the organization. In addition, facilitators support outside-classroom development initiatives for targeted line managers. To be successful, facilitators are required to demonstrate they meet the standards of knowledge and delivery through our internal facilitation certification process. It is vital that facilitators demonstrate an exceptionally high level of facilitation skills, have managerial experience, as well as have knowledge in management and leadership practices. Facilitators play an integral role in the success of the overall effort to strengthen the management pipeline across the firm. Leadership Edge Facilitators also support local leadership and line of business events to connect leaders across the firm, which may require some domestic travel.

      Leadership Edge Facilitators play a critical role in the support of Manager Effectiveness. Essential expectations of all facilitators include demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and a strong team ethic.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Complete internal certification process of Leadership Edge Leadership Labs
      • Facilitate classroom and virtual Leadership Edge programs to all corporate title levels of up to 30+ participants
      • Manage the classroom/virtual environment and deliver all phases of a cohort experience across the entire learning journey for participants
      • Partner with Leadership Edge Learning Solutions and Design Team to help support the the effectiveness of the programs
      • Partner closely with aligned program manager to ensure effective coordination and outstanding participant experience
      • Partner with designated hub locations and/or leaders to develop and deliver on strategic learning events for leaders at the location

      Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

      • Relevant facilitation experience on the topic of leadership, management or related experience
      • Ability to demonstrate key facilitation capabilities:
        1. Presence: Projects, demonstrates caring, understanding, and adjusts style
        2. Assessment: Assesses needs, plans and prepares, customizes, and learns
        3. Communication: Gives instructions, asks questions, actively listens, and processes information
        4. Control: Prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, creates a productive and safe environment, manages pace, timing, and conflict
        5. Consistency: Focuses group, opens and closes sessions consistently
        6. Partnership and Teamwork: Demonstrates responsibility, emotional intelligence, and relationship building through effective partnership
        7. Knowledge: Demonstrates program content knowledge, knowledge of JPMC, and knowledge of the financial industry
      • Experience managing and leading teams (minimum 5 years of managerial experience; 10+ ideal), as a manager of managers is a plus
      • Confidence, professionalism, and executive presence in front of senior management audiences
      • Proven skill in leadership, relationship building and listening
      • Professional certifications or demonstrate knowledge, implementation and coaching of various psychometric tools a plus (Emotional Intelligence 2.0, Strengths Finder, Situational Leadership II, Thomas-Kilman Conflict Indicator, DISC, GROW coaching, Interpersonal Leadership Styles, etc.)
      • Able to deliver excellent in-person and virtual learning up to 5 days a week as needed in a fast paced environment

      Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

      • Demonstrate a proficiency in virtual delivery participant engagement, able to set–up, facilitate and close out classes using virtual platforms (including Zoom, Adobe) trouble shoot technology issues and utilize full functionality of the platform
      • Ability to successfully facilitate a learning session on a management topic as a part of the selection process
      • Commitment to continuous learning and upskilling for individual self-improvement
      • Experience in working effectively in a multicultural and international environment
