      Shared Services consists of over 1,000 employees in the Business Support Centre and Business Administration Service. Both of these services provide administration support to a wide range of teams and services across the council. We help the council to streamline operations by redesigning processes, reviewing models of delivery and introducing technology to modernise the way we work.
      This role is based in the Leadership & Governance Hub where you would be responsible for providing a professional and flexible support function to senior leaders and their teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of their services. The duties of the post includes supporting meetings including the preparation of agendas, reports and minutes, email management, using spreadsheets and databases as well as providing general office administration. You will be required to deal with a wide range of written and telephone enquiries from members of the public, Elected Members and partner organisations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and be a confident communicator, with the ability to prioritise workloads, taking innovative proactive and reactive approaches to problem solving and task completion.

      The successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, working well with others to provide flexible support in the wider service when directed.
