      ABOUT THE COURT

      Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 40 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,500 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $855 million. Located in Southern California, Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nation's largest counties, covering 4,084 square miles and, with over 10,400,000 residents, is also one of its most populous counties.

      The Court is seeking enthusiastic and agile professionals to join our Human Resources team as a Learning and Development Analyst.

      ABOUT THE POSITION

      Working collaboratively with Court-wide management and subject-matter experts, Learning & Development Analysts are responsible for developing and delivering dynamic solutions related to leadership development, technical skill development, technology, and lots more.

      • Facilitates work-related learning opportunities in the form of classes, consultation, and other resources.
      • Develops engaging and dynamic training tutorials, instructor-led courses, and other instructional content for varying delivery methods and for all levels of court employees.
      • Incorporates current technology in developing eLearning curricula.
      • Conducts new employee training.
      • Creates high-quality, interactive, virtual learning activities in support of organizational needs.
      • Designs and develops videos and training content for new software rollouts, including online learning modules, software manuals and quick reference guides.
      • Collaborates across departments and vendors to test new computer applications in preparation for new-release rollouts.

      TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES
      This position is eligible for partial telework following an initial training period.

      SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:

      To qualify, you must meet the following at the time of application:

      OPTION I: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, and two (2) years of experience planning, developing, designing, and/or conducting in-service training programs and related activities.

      OPTION II: Six (6) years of experience planning, developing, designing, and/or conducting in-service training programs and related activities.


      Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.

      DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :
      The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, adaptable, and possess the following desirable qualifications:

      • Extensive experience designing, developing, and delivering training classes, either live or e-learning.
      • Extensive knowledge of different instructional design tools and adult learning theory.
      • Strong business writing and oral communication skills.
      • Knowledge of Superior Court of California organization, programs, assignments, customer service, policies, goals, and objectives.
      • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Go Animate, HTML 5, Saba, Saba Publisher, Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable e-learning software.
      • Graphic and web design skills.
      • Instructional Design or Adult Learning certification.


      EXAMINATION INFORMATION:

      PART I: Qualifying evaluation of education, training and experience based upon submitted application materials and supplemental questionnaire.
