  We are seeking a Learning and Development Analyst Student for our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB), who is available for 4 months starting in May 2024.

  As a Learning and Development Analyst Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

  • Assists with the design and management of system reporting to support company metrics and KPIs. The focus is on training records in PCL’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Completes Learning Management System maintenance tasks such as catalog clean-up, and evaluating and entering new Learning Objects.
  • Audits system data to ensure the integrity of records.
  • Tests Learning Management System functionality and new system releases.
  • Troubleshoots and provides technical support to LMS administrators and learners.
  • Assistance with Service Now tickets and customer service inquiries.
  • Participates in stakeholder meetings to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Assists with development of standards and process to reflect current state.
  • Assists in analysis of data to identify and recommend opportunities for optimization.
  • Reviews and updates learning resources (quick reference guides and videos).
  • Researches, makes recommendations for best practices and industry trends.
  • Applies the principles of time management to track tasks/deadlines for self.
  • Communicates with immediate supervisor and provides regular updates.

  What you will bring to the role:

  • Ability to think logically and analytically, and to constructively express ideas and concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with some or all of the following: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PowerBI and/or Tableau (dashboards), Visio Professional (process development), Cornerstone LMS (Learning Management System), Service Now (technical service tickets), SharePoint and/or Egnyte (document storage and management).
  • Ability to work independently and on a team by collaborating to tackle problems.
  • Ability to communicate verbally to other team members and groups.
  • Ability to build written documents such as training guides, online learning scripts, and proposals.
