      About You

      RMIT’s College of Business and Law is seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning Designer to join our team. The Learning Designer will play a key role in supporting faculty and staff to design, develop, and deliver transformative blended learning programs that foster student engagement and success. The incumbent will work collaboratively and proactively with Senior Learning Designers, faculty and staff to develop fit-for-purpose learning activities and resources. The ideal candidate will have experience and a comprehensive understanding of the role technology plays in enhancing student experience and outcomes, as well as knowledge of pedagogical strategies for face-to-face and online learning environments.

      To be successful in this position, you will need experience in:

      • Working collaboratively with Senior Learning Designers, faculty and other learning and teaching team colleagues across all Colleges and RMIT Studios to develop and implement solutions that enhance student learning experiences

      • Developing learning activities and resources that draw on appropriate pedagogy, disciplinary-specific strategies, and contemporary approaches in learning and teaching

      • Developing innovative digital learning resources using a variety of technologies for blended and online learning environments, working collaboratively with Digital Design teams when required

      • Testing, troubleshooting, and adapting learning solutions based on feedback, functionality, and constraints

      • Adhering to appropriate quality frameworks and copyright requirements as required.

      Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

      About the Group

      Program and Digital Development (within the College of Business and Law) is a future-focused, discipline specific, program and course design and development (new and refresh); digital and blended learning; learning design by using:

      • Student-centred principles and practices to create engaging, relevant and informative learning journeys;

      • UX, SX and digital development in courses and programs;

      • Purposeful use of educational technology;

      • Program and course design and development including English Language support;

      • Curriculum, assessment and pedagogy consultation and evaluation;

      • Design and embedding of micro-credentials in curriculum; and

      • Leading blended learning implementation in the College.
