- Provides support for the SumTotal Learning Management System. Partners with Customers, the technology support team, and the vendor to plan and prioritize work within the SumTotal Learning Management System.
- Consults and recommends system functionality to support customer needs and improve the use of the application.
- Coordinates and communicates new functionality and system upgrades, including determining system settings across the company.
- Research and development on new system functionality to guide recommendations.
- Release Management for triannual updates to Learning Management system.
- Creating and updating documentation for both an internal and external audience.
- System administration tasks within the Learning Management system.
- Trouble Shooting and collecting data from a variety of resources.
- Documenting, analyzing, and reporting required information and data.
- Completing other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Leadership.
- Travel opportunities may arise for projects and events but are not required.
- Join Southwest as a Spring 2024 Intern, with a 12-week internship lasting from January 30th through April 19th.
- Work fully remotely, with opportunities to connect with your Team and other workgroups virtually and potential to travel to visit our Dallas, TX Headquarters.
- Dedicate a minimum of 24 hours each week to your internship responsibilities and tasks, up to 40 hours a week. We recommend checking your spring schedule now to ensure availability.
- Receive an hourly pay of $22 and receive a one-time, $500 stipend on your first paycheck.
- Receive free, unlimited travel privileges for yourself.
- Interns will receive any required equipment, such as a laptop, for the internship.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- You must have a valid U.S. Social Security Number to complete the full hiring process.
- Progress towards degree, major, or minor in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Communications, Web Design, Computer Science, Project Management, or similar degree required.
- Minimum Sophomore status. May not have undergraduate graduate date of December 2023 or prior, unless already enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at the time of application.
- Preferred: Junior status or above.
- To be eligible you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student as defined by your university at the time of application.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of your application.
- Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Preferred Intermediate level of Excel required.
- Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
- System administration experience preferred.
- Strong interest in Training as a career preferred.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to function as part of a Team.
- Organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with discretion and independent judgment.
- Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous and compassionate.
- Quick learner, self-motivated, and team oriented.
- Required: Part-Time 24-40hrs a week
- Must maintain a consistent weekly schedule during normal business hours at a max of 8hrs per day and no fewer than 24hrs per week
- Program Dates: January 30th - April 19th, 2024
- $22 per hour + $500 one-time stipend paid on first paycheck.
