What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the State-wide Lease Compliance Officer for over 4 million square feet of leased space
- Investigate and monitor compliance with lease obligations and document remediation efforts
- Assist in site evaluations during the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
- Provide oversight during the construction phase to ensure compliance with State of Michigan build-out standards
- Collaborate with Lessors to ensure lease issues are promptly addressed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of four years of professional experience, including two years at the experienced (P11) level or one year at the advanced (12) level
- Experience related to departmental programs and services that provide required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to analyze detailed information and compose written analyses
- Experience in project management or coordinating complex projects
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in real estate, leasing, or property management
- Knowledge of property management software or relevant financial analysis software
- Familiarity with the State of Michigan lease approval processes
- Experience conducting training sessions or presenting information to an audience
- Problem-solving experience and advising others on potential solutions
