      About the Position
      As a Lecturer – Health and Community Services your primary purpose will be to contribute to the teaching effort of programs delivered within CDU TAFE. This includes preparation and delivery of units/courses in line with best teaching practices and industry standards, and the assessment of students in accordance with the competency standards of the CHC and HLT Training Packages. You will facilitate training using a range of delivery modes including face-to-face, mixed-mode, workplace based, professional short courses, external and online delivery.

      About You
      To be successful, you will require:

      • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) and the ability to obtain competencies in additional core units as required
      • Education, training and/or relevant industry experience equivalent to completing Vocational or HE qualifications in Health and Community Services (e.g. Diploma Community Services, Bachelor Social Work, Graduate Certificate Human and Community Services)
      • Demonstrated experience providing training either within a workplace setting or educational institution
      • Experience in researching and developing training tools to meet needs of students and/or industry clients
      • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language
      • Competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages

      Remuneration
      Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $72,702 - $109,071 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,061 - $127,613 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
