What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review loan document packages to ensure accuracy and compliance with credit approval and regulatory requirements
- Conduct due diligence and respond to inquiries within established policies
- Manage a large workload with shifting priorities to meet deal timelines
- Assist attorneys on various projects and help develop policies and procedures
- Organize and maintain legal files consistent with retention policies and legal obligations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant paralegal experience in financial institutions or legal departments
- Detailed knowledge of syndicated and securitized lending transactions
- Excellent legal research skills and proficiency in electronic databases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Paralegal Certification from an accredited program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools like Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
