What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare correspondence, reports, briefs, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents for attorneys
- Create and edit court documents in compliance with New Jersey Workers' Compensation and State Court requirements
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedule depositions with relevant parties
- Assist attorneys in trial and discovery preparation as needed
- Manage electronic legal files and perform general office support tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law office or corporate law department
- Knowledge of New Jersey courts and experience with Workers' Compensation and Tort cases
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in a high-volume litigation environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in insurance defense and trial support (virtual and in-person)
- Familiarity with document production, discovery preparation, and data maintenance for clients
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
