- Review and ensure the accuracy of the monthly results and financial statements of the legal entities for head office submissions
- Involved in preparation, review and finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory and statistical returns (APRA, ABS, RBNZ) and capital requirements (ASX)
- Investigate and respond to regulator queries
- Support production of annual financial statements
- Partner with external auditors during the annual audit
- Ensure controls are operating effectively
- Focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls
- Provide oversight and guidance of offshore support staff involving regular communications
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the broader LEC team and Senior Financial Officer as necessary
- Qualified Accountant
- Financial services industry knowledge
- Good analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of regulatory reporting (APRA, ABS, ASX, RBNZ) would be beneficial
- Experience of Alteryx and Axiom would advantageous

The Legal Entity Controller (LEC) team is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, governance and control of Australia & New Zealand Legal Entities. This includes analysing and reporting financial and management results to key internal and external stakeholders of the Australian and New Zealand entities.
As an Associate within the Legal Entity Controller team, you will be responsible for playing an instrumental role in ensuring the Firms controls are operating effectively, ensuring we provide accurate and timely reporting to external stakeholders and partnering with Businesses across the Group to assist them in reaching their potential and providing guidance and support to all areas of the Firm in developing plans, in line with location and regional initiatives.
