  Performs semiskilled work managing and supervising County team sports programs for adults and youth, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Leisure Programs Supervisor. Limited oversight is exercised over officials and scorekeepers.
  • Manages and supervises County team sports programs.
  • Assigns officials and umpires for games.
  • Assists with special events and programs.
  General knowledge of the principles, rules, materials and equipment required for a variety of recreational activities; ability to instruct participants; general knowledge of first aid practices and techniques; ability to adhere to program standards and objectives outlined by department executive; ability to resolve disputes with firmness and impartiality; ability to meet and deal tactfully with the public; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.Bachelor's degree in recreation or leisure services, or related field and moderate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  Special Requirements
  CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
