What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct face-to-face assessments for the Level of Care Review (LOCERI) process for Fee For-Service (FFS) members
- Manage health assessments, data collection, data entry, and communication with healthcare providers
- Collaborate with program administrators and state and federal representatives on policy issues
- Defend assessment-based decisions during the DMAS appeals process
- Ensure quality of care initiatives are met for members in long-term care facilities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a licensed LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia or possess a bachelor's degree in a Health & Human Services field per Federal CMS requirements
- Considerable knowledge of Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) requirements
- Significant experience performing health-based assessments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in analyzing and applying federal and state laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging with various stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Elderly or Disabled populations across various ages and medical diagnoses
- Familiarity with the Level of Care Review Instrument (LOCERI) process
- Knowledge of CCC Plus Waiver requirements
