Under general direction, performs a variety of professional librarian duties including providing information and assistance to customers of all ages; planning, scheduling, and presenting programs and/or services; performing reference, readers’ advisory services and bibliographic instruction; building relationships with community organizations; providing technology instruction; engaging in civic participation. This position will be focused on Children's Services ages 6-12 providing programs/outreach and collaborating with the early childhood engagement staff about ages Birth-5.
This position will be assigned to the Almonte Library at 2914 SW 59th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73119.
The hiring salary for this position is $50,003.20 annually. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This position is exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings. Monday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Will work one weekend a month.
