Job Description
- Req#: 18090
- Perform library clientele duties i.e. Circulation; Short loans; ILL etc.
- Basic catalogue & databases searches
- Provide support to research services i.e. RDM
- Perform virtual & in-person reference services
- Collection development and maintenance
- Assist and participate in Library marketing and other projects.
- Grade 12 certificate at NQF Level 4 plus two years’ working experience in an academic library setting
- A B. BLIS Degree or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with cloud storage & sharing applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable knowledge of library management system
- Sound understanding of library operations
- Exposure to open science activities i.e. RDM
- Knowledge of library systems - catalogue and databases
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Experience working with cloud storage & sharing applications
- Attention to detail
- Customer oriented
