      Responsibilities

      Tasks

      • Issue and receive books and library materials
      • Answer quick reference questions
      • Assist library users in accessing basic library materials
      • Reshelve books and library materials
      • Provide interlibrary loans
      • Maintain classified collections (shelves shift, shelf-read)
      • Provide lending services and facilities for return of loaned items
      • Perform routine clerical duties
      • Handle and maintain library equipment (e.g., microfilm/microfiche readers, large print readers, etc.)
      • Light cleaning duties
      • Co-ordinate special events
      • Schedule events, programs and activities
