- Issue and receive books and library materials
- Answer quick reference questions
- Assist library users in accessing basic library materials
- Reshelve books and library materials
- Provide interlibrary loans
- Maintain classified collections (shelves shift, shelf-read)
- Provide lending services and facilities for return of loaned items
- Perform routine clerical duties
- Handle and maintain library equipment (e.g., microfilm/microfiche readers, large print readers, etc.)
- Light cleaning duties
- Co-ordinate special events
- Schedule events, programs and activities
