      Job Summary

      The Resource Sharing Assistant supports workflows that ensure seamless access to high quality Libraries staff-mediated services and shared collections for the Libraries’ clients.

      Essential Functions

      • Collaborate with faculty members to establish efficient, ethical access to course materials and process Reserves requests.
      • Enforce DUL shared access and learning environment policies to help develop professional behaviors among students.
      • Apply detailed resource sharing agreements knowledge using specialized applications to ensure fast online delivery of requests.
      • Advocate improved access experiences for DUL users by sharing feedback gained from direct client interactions.

      Required Qualifications

      • Associate degree or Equivalent, and 1 year experience
      • Possess a high energy level, self-confidence, and a positive can-do attitude.
      • Excellent organizational skills, including time and project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills; good listener with a high degree of customer orientation and excellent customer service skills
      • Able to work both independently and within a diverse and collaborative matrix environment using sound judgment.
      • Demonstrated ability to work with and easily adapt to new technology.
      • Experience with MS Office suite or Google apps

      Preferred Qualifications

      Experience with library systems, such as Alma, Summon, ILLiad, Ares, or Relais.
      Experience working in a library or an academic setting.

      Typically standing, walking
      Lifting demands up to 25lbs

      Job Location

      University City – Philadelphia, PA

      Additional Information

      This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position with hourly pay, paid on a bi-weekly basis and is not qualified for benefits.
