- Perform Spanish writing and editing tasks, which may include:
- Editing text to correct grammar and fluency/naturalness
- Writing paraphrased versions of text samples in a highly specific manner according to tone, manner of speech, complexity, and many other factors
- Translating between Spanish and English and vice versa.
- Perform tasks related to Spanish data annotation, generation, and evaluation, which may include:
- Carrying out data analysis and evaluating data quality
- Annotating, reviewing, and validating datasets for natural language processing/machine learning (NLP/ML) training and evaluation
- Interact with the Research team to understand highly specific annotation, style, and editing requirements
- Keep project managers informed of platform enhancement ideas, risks, and issues
- Gain in-depth knowledge of complex product features
- Other related tasks and duties, as assigned
- Native speaker of Latin American Spanish
- Proficient in English (written and spoken) and lives in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. Spanish language, translation, literature, linguistics; writing, editing, journalism)
- Ability to understand and apply detailed editing and data annotation guidelines
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while paying constant close attention to detail and delivering accurate and precise work
- Ability to be a good team player and communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently, including managing your schedule, attending meetings, and completing projects within a reasonable timeframe
- Ability to work remotely in a distraction-free workspace with a reliable internet connection and computer
- Experience as a data annotator, writer, editor, proofreader, translator, or similar
- Familiarity with machine learning data annotation, model training, and/or model evaluation
- Experience with business productivity tools like GSuite, Notion, Asana, and Slack
- Programming experience, particularly in Python
