Loan Officer Assistant
Job Description
Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Loan Officer in day-to-day responsibilities as they relate to inputting
loans, contacting customers, gathering documents and business development.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

supervisor.
Assist the Loan Officer in developing a network of business with Realtors and builders.
Attend open houses or other events, when necessary, to discuss loan products, rates and/or other qualifications with
potential customers.
Interview borrowers to collect information for the loan applications.
Follow-up with borrowers to obtain information for the loan application and enter data into Shelter's point of sale
system.
Run credit reports and analyze credit as needed.
Analyze borrower information to determine if they qualify for a loan.
Discuss rates with borrowers.
Issue letters that disclose products, rates, criteria for qualifying for the loan and/or the terms of the loan.
Issue the pre-approval letter and conditional approval letters.
Answer borrower questions related to the loan application, product, rates and/or qualifications.

Required Level of Education
High school diploma or GED.
Required Minimum Years of Experience
One year of administrative experience.
Additional Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate rate, ratio and percentages.
Required Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations
Must have an active state MLO license in each state where business will be conducted.

Peripheral Vision - Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes remain fixed
