What The Role Is
Review less complex assigned loans to ascertain quality of loan portfolio in a given market, line of business, or portfolio sector. Reviews compliance with loan policy and regulatory requirements. Consults with higher level loan review officers to complete reviews, if needed. Provides effective communication of findings to lending staff, bank management and loan review management.
How You will Make an Impact
• Conducts a systematic review of less complex assigned loans to measure underwriting adequacy, soundness of loan administration policy, documentation adequacy, collateral evaluation, risk rating, and problem loan administration. All reviews should measure compliance with loan policy and regulatory requirements. Consults with senior loan review officers or management when necessary.
• Interacts, verbally or in writing, with lending and regional credit staff in conjunction with loan reviews. Works to resolve any discrepancies and disputes.
• Produces reports documenting review findings for presentation to senior management. Reports follow an established structure per department guidelines.
• Provides verbal presentations of review findings to appropriate audiences, primarily division management, lending staff, and regional credit management.
• Maintains a good working knowledge of lending policies and procedures to measure policy compliance during reviews. Stays informed on new loan products, industry trends and regulatory changes.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of job specific experience.
