      We are looking for a Localization Specialist to join our team!

      Preferred location: This is a remote position based in the US. Preferred candidates who can work on PST.

      What you'll do at Elekta:

      This role provides language services for product documentation, application software GUI, language-specific databases, and other localizable output products while ensuring accurate translation from the original English source into the local language. This position will track team priorities, release target delivery dates, engage and support processes, and industry tools and methodologies. The Localization Coordinator supports application engineers with language testing process and creates additional test cases for target locales, as needed. Collaboration with 3rd party vendors to track localization projects and ensure verification accuracy for required languages. Localization/translations queries will be resolved in a timely manner. Support/training on processes and guidelines will be provided to 3rd party partners, as needed. This role will demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of the team.

      RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Coordinator for end-to-end localization of user interface, product labeling, including translation, review, and release.
      • Support external localization teams by answering technical questions concerning software localization and documentation of localization translation tools and processes
      • Manage localized versions of software products, in a variety of languages, in collaboration with the localization team and 3rd party vendors.
      • Provide regular status updates to Localization manager to ensure timelines are on schedule.
      • Manage communication channels with L10N community, answer questions and troubleshoot issues as needed.
      • Monitor 3rd party tool community boards and notifications (including emails) to stay well-informed of potential issues or functionality enhancements that will affect Elekta localization products/processing
      • Work with development and quality engineers, localization manager, translation verifiers/validators and release management as necessary to deliver localized content and products on time and with high linguistic quality.
      • Proactively review products and processes for potential localizability problems.
      • Participate in PI Planning to identify possible localization issues and mitigate risk.
      • Stay abreast of industry trends to understanding localization tools and functionality options.
      • Find opportunities within the current localization workflows for process improvements.
      • Coordinate all phases of assigned translation projects including pre-processing and post-processing of files using standard localization tools, file tracking, versioning, code management, and project archiving.
      • Review and troubleshoot defects escalated by vendors, internal sources, offices and escalated client-reported issues to determine problem source and support problem resolution.
      • Contribute to technical process workflows to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in collaboration with 3rd party vendors

      REQUIREMENTS:
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Excellent project management abilities
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
      • Solid knowledge of localization and internationalization of complex software products and its technical aspects
      • Ability to effectively interact with members of other departments. Ability to pro-actively communicate technical issues with technical and non-technical leadership and follow-up until issue resolved or logged for tracking
      • Ability to effectively use available resources to assess and resolve problems
      • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
      • Ability to consistently deliver results according to project plans
      • Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects effectively
      • Knowledge of software development frameworks, code management apps, and database systems desired (SourceTree, BitBucket)
      • Strong team player in a multi-language/multi-cultural/multi-time zone environment
      • Second language required, dual byte language a plus

      The US base salary range for this position is $71,000-$95,000
