Job summary
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is looking for a Locum Consultant Respiratory Physician to join our fantastic team of 30 NHS and academic consultants providing general and specialist Respiratory services to the people of Nottinghamshire and beyond.
You will be joining a dynamic & dedicated team of professionals providing outstanding Respiratory care and delivering internationally recognised Respiratory research within the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre,which is a partnership between NUH and the University of Nottingham.
NUH is the fourth largest acute Trust within the UK, with a busy emergency department at Queen's Medical Centre, which is a level 1 Trauma Centre. NUH provides services to 2.5 million residents of Nottingham and surrounding communities, and specialist services to a further 3-4 million across the region and nationally.
Applicants must have GMC registration and be eligible to be included on the Specialist Register. Sub-specialty interests could also be accommodated.
Main duties of the job
Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country with a budget of over £1billion and over 19,000 staff. We provide services to over 2.5 million residents of Nottinghamshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the NUH respiratory team, initially for a 6-month period. These posts are to provide cover for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, and Sleep/Ventilation services, pending appointments to substantive posts. The precise job plan will be tailored to service needs and the sub-specialty interests/expertise of the applicant. Previous experience in the above sub-specialty areas is preferred but not essential. The applicant will be supported in gaining experience in CF, bronchiectasis or Sleep/Ventilation if needed.
