Job Description

- Oversees daily communication and coordination with import and domestic vendors and 3PLs for status updates, accurate documentation needs, service changes, and resolves potential risks
- Collects and analyzes data related to logistics, including transportation costs, and supplier performance to gain performance and cost insights and drive solutions
- Generates routine and ad-hoc reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in logistics and develops dashboards and reports that provide a clear view of logistics performance metrics
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Buyer and Distribution Center teams, to identify areas of improvement in the supply chain and proposes and implements changes based on data-driven insights to enhance logistics efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Analyzes and negotiates transportation rates and provides quotes to internal teams; audits and approves logistics related expenses
- Partners with Buying and Distribution Center teams on hot shipments and campaign orders which includes freight prioritization and status tracking updates
- Escalates the resolution of missed ship windows and any delays that may occur between vendors and The Container Store Distribution Centers.
- Maintains understanding of various business divisions within The Container Store and their strategic goals. Stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of logistics analytics and operational capabilities

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics is preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in logistics or supply chain
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, a faculty for numerical detail and the ability to manage complexity
- Able to direct multiple projects and anticipate challenges
- Must be comfortable adapting regulatory trends and statutes and adjusting processes and requirements as necessary
- Experience with expediting and improvement initiatives
- Familiar with Customs entry and CTPAT processes
- Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area on a hybrid schedule
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Overview
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for ensuring The Container Store’s import and domestic vendor shipments are managed efficiently, in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining service levels and planned deadlines. This position will accomplish this by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and offer actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall logistics performance. This position works closely with the Buying, Planning, DC Operations, Accounting, and third-party transportation providers (3PLs) and will directly impact the success and competitiveness of our company.
