- Manage Group sales staff of 11 reps day-to-day including: motivate, coach and lead sales efforts.
- Evaluate and resolve group sales questions / challenges including pricing, inventory philosophy, deal structure.
- Coordinate the distribution and prompt handling of in-bound leads and online sales to Group Sales staff to maximize revenue
- Evaluate demand for ticket products, including pricing, service level & guest purchase experience
- Assist with the strategic management of ticket inventory for all Group Sales programs and theme nights, as well as provide expert sales advice to Group Sales staff
- Coach and join Groups sales reps on high impact sales meetings and calls as needed
- Manage and oversee rep usage and creation of FEVO links; be an expert in FEVO capabilities, usage, and creation.
- Work collaboratively with the Business Analytics team to ensure we maximize sales opportunities and ensure all reporting is correctly tracked in CRM
- Keep current on all trends and best practices in live sports ticketing industry through the participation of league wide calls and building relationships with industry counterparts
- Work with Events Team and coordinators to ensure execution of group initiatives including theme nights, performance groups, parades, pregame events, High School baseball games etc.
- Work closely with the Ticket Office to provide the correct details to build buyer types for all Group promotions.
- Lead the effort to build and manage ticket links and update website for all group initiatives.
- College graduate preferred
- Five to Seven years of sales experience in hospitality, gaming, entertainment or sports industry preferred.
- Management experience is preferred
- Must have a passion for customer and guest service.
- Team oriented, seasoned professional, polished and presents themselves well both in communications and face-to-face interactions.
- Working knowledge of Tickets.com Pro Venue, FEVO and Salesforce preferred
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Must be technologically literate and able to use/learn a variety of computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, ProVenue and Salesforce
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by schedule of Angels events
- Ability to frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently traverse through stadium
- Ability to occasionally work in inclement weather (when in stadium)
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Overview:
The Manager, Group Sales is responsible for achieving annual ticket revenue goals and new client acquisition at Angel Stadium for group tickets other ticket packages as directed. The Manager, Group Sales is responsible for full-time group sales staff. The position reports directly the Director of Groups and Inside Sales and liaises frequently with the Inside Sales Manager, Director, Premium Sales and Service, Marketing Department and club’s Ticketing Office staff as well as club’s food and beverage service provider.
This position is also benefit-eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K eligibility; employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment, sick time, vacation time and additional perks not listed above. The expected yearly salary for this position can range from $75,000-$85,000. This role is eligible for commissions that can range from $30,000-$50,000 during the 12-month commission year period based on meeting sales performance goals. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
