What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide and manage patient care in a clinical setting for specific age and patient populations
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Accurately triage telephone calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members
- Prioritize health problems based on urgency, educate patients, and schedule appointments
- Make safe and effective clinical decisions under the direction of the patient's physician
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage diverse tasks
