      Job Summary:

      The Systems Engineering Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

      The Radar Systems (RS) Department is seeking a Lead (Associate Director, Systems Engineering) to support the LTAMDS Radar Software Product Line (RSPL). The LTAMDS RSPL Lead is an integral part of the team to ensure technical execution and compliance to the customer requirements, provides leadership to execution across various LTAMDS contracts. This position can be located in either Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA and may require occasional travel.

      Responsibilities of the LTAMDS RSPL Lead include:

      • Provides RSPL SE leadership to execution across various LTAMDS contracts

      • Coordinates across HW, SW, test capabilities on RSPL to ensure interface integrity and design cohesion. They are a key participant in platform/SoS integration

      • Works with the RSPL Leadership to support the capability thread leads for technical execution and integration of LTAMDS capabilities

      • Works with program leadership in defining future potential system capability in the pre-award phase of various contracts.

      • Helps provide, guide and mature the technical capabilities into optimal solutions working with the RSPL leadership in order to support several LTAMDS contracts

      • The LTAMDS RSPL Lead will support the Program Leadership in their communication with the US Govt. in maturing technical capabilities

      • Guide and direct other engineering team leads to achieve program and technical success

      • Coordinate, write, and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customers

      Qualifications You Must Have:

      • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.

      • Minimum of 12 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering

      • Proven Experience effectively leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals

      • Experience leading teams and IPT’s, using tools and metrics in managing activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional management

      • An active and in-scope DoD Secret security clearance

      Qualifications We Value:

      • Self-starter – proactive in determining goals and objectives and pursuing the necessary course of action

      • Experience as an LSE, CE or System Enngineering Lead on previous programs

      • Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products

      • Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings

      • Excellent communication skills with prior experience presenting to customers and senior leadership

      • Experience in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management and overall development and progress metrics

      • Working knowledge of the Raytheon Technologies’ products and services

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

      • Experience working with external customers; including USG, or FMS partners

      • EVMS Certified (or equivalent)

      • Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)

      • Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges

      • Familiarity with FMS and DCS Contracts

      • Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience

      • Import/ Export knowledge and/or experience

      • Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and development of system requirements and design.

      The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
