      About the Role

      Reporting to the Penfolds Business Manager EMEA, the Luxury Sales Manager Europe role is to take ownership of a number of European markets that are prioritised as High Potential Luxury wine markets for Penfolds. This channel provides an important and visible growth area for TWE in its journey to Premiumise its business through the high growth of its Luxury brands. Wines are sold in Specialist retailers, On Trade, private collectors networks and E-Commerce.

      This role is a fixed term 18-month contract, with the potential to become a permanent position.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Sell 100% of nominated allocations at a customer level through exceptional execution of the annual Penfolds Luxury & Icons collection plan
      • Deliver new distribution/listings for Penfolds to deliver the budgeted plan
      • Achieve NSR, distribution and GP targets as agreed for nominated account base
      • Develop customer relationships in line with agreed channel plan and commercial requirements
      • Identify a target list of new customers for Penfolds Luxury & Icons wines
      • Input into Luxury strategy through ownership of the geographies
      • Plan and conduct trade tastings / events as required
      • Establish a Luxury wine network internally and externally
      • Grow Penfolds’ luxury credentials in Europe via innovative ways of promoting the brand
      • Accurate and timely reporting of monthly performance
      • Liaison with Marketing key stakeholders
      • Achieving volume and financial targets with the team
      • Deliver MAPE accuracy, rigorous through strong forecasting process
      • Monitor and Support A&P budgets with internal & client stakeholders

      What We're Looking For

      We are looking for high-performing individuals, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Fine Wine industry or Luxury industry, and proven Luxury and National / Key Account Management sales experience. You must be fluent in French and English, and German speaking is also a plus.

      You’ll also need:

      • Degree or diploma in Business, Economics or similar discipline
      • Extensive contacts in the Luxury Wine industry and strong current relationships
      • Detailed understanding of how to develop successful partnerships with Luxury customers
      • Confidence and ability to deal with leading industry figures up to MW level
      • Knowledge and capability to understand and leverage Penfolds winemaking assets
      • Numerate with strong financial skills
      • Outstanding negotiation and selling skills
      • Excellent presentation skills
      • Knowledge of market essentials
      • Influencing and Commercial acumen
      • Powerpoint, Excel Advanced
