      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and/or contracted services.
      2. Provides skilled nursing care in accordance with prescribed orders on each assignment.
      3. Identifies and documents changes in patients' physiologic and psychosocial conditions.
      4. Notifies the Director/Supervisor regarding:
      • Physician notification to obtain necessary orders for interventions as per state regulations.
      • Changes in patient/client condition.
    • Adheres to Maxim's policies, procedures, and applicable protocols.
    • Prioritizes actions based on patient care requirements.
    • Ensures patient safety at all times and that services are provided safely.
    • Verifies documentation reflects patient collaboration, participation in care plans, expected outcomes, and interventions.
    • Performs interventions, treatments, and medication administration according to priorities, care plans, policies, and standards.
    • Monitors and documents the effectiveness of interventions and medications.
    • Provides a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients.
    • Monitors the safety of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions.
    • Participates in activities to promote good interpersonal communication.
    • Communicates significant changes in patient status to supervisors or designees.
    • Documents and communicates physician collaboration and care coordination as needed.
    • Attends case conferences, team meetings, and in-services as required.
    • Supports professional practice by adhering to:
      • Nurse Practice Act
      • Standards of Nursing Practice
      • Standards of Patient Care
      • Standards of Accrediting Bodies (ACHC, Joint Commission, etc.)
      • State and Local Laws
      • Patient Bill of Rights
      • Maxim Healthcare and hospital policies
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Minimum Requirements:

      1. Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
      2. Licensure required.
      3. GPA of 3.0 preferred.
      4. Compliance with professional standards and practice.
      5. Current CPR certification.
      6. PPD test or chest X-ray if applicable.
      7. Successful completion of Maxim Homecare Novice Nurse Program orientation and training.
      8. Proficiency in English.
      9. Excellent communication skills.
      10. Technological proficiency, including mobile device documentation.
