What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with a team to push the frontier of visual generative models
- Translate research ideas into high-quality code and communicate results to peers
- Experiment with large-scale projects and contribute to the development of foundation models
- Participate in research discussions and contribute to advancing the state of the art in image generation
- Engage in mentorship opportunities and foster a collaborative team environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently pursuing a PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Graphics, Natural Language Processing, or a related field (exceptional undergraduates considered)
- Strong foundational knowledge in deep learning and generative models, with familiarity in Transformers and diffusion models
- Proficiency in Python and experience with a major deep learning framework (JAX preferred; PyTorch experience welcome)
- Ability to read research papers and translate ideas into code effectively
- Demonstrated research experience through prior publications or impactful open-source contributions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in the creative industry, particularly in image generation for design
- Strong project write-ups showcasing research experience and contributions
- A passion for making research applicable to real-world products
