What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with the team that built Ideogram’s foundational models to advance visual generative models
- Translate research ideas into high-quality code and communicate results to peers
- Conduct research in areas such as image captioning, diffusion conditioning, and layout and typography
- Engage in experimentation and testing of new ideas with access to necessary resources
- Contribute to impactful open-source projects or publications demonstrating research experience
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently pursuing a PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Graphics, Natural Language Processing, or a related field (exceptional undergraduates considered)
- Strong fundamentals in deep learning, particularly in generative models, Transformers, and diffusion models
- Strong Python skills and proficiency in a major deep learning framework (JAX preferred; PyTorch experience welcome)
- Ability to read research papers and translate ideas into actionable results
- Interest in the creative industry and image generation for design
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior publications or impactful open-source contributions demonstrating research experience
- Strong project write-ups showcasing your skills and knowledge in relevant fields
- Experience working in collaborative and fast-paced environments
