- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the production assigned staff
- Lead employees in the safe and efficient operation of multiple manufacturing machines and production areas
- Apply the correct procedures and work methods according to established protocols
- Ensure that all production operations are conducted in compliance with GMP and company SOPs
- Complete all required production paperwork and ensure it is correctly completed, filed, and stored appropriately
- Maintain standards of good hygiene, housekeeping and environmental practice by adequate supervision of production areas and production staff
- Create a high level of awareness of the requirement to work in a safe manner to themselves and their work colleagues. Report all Production, Health and Safety issues to the Production Manager immediately.
- The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes
- Hours may change based on production schedule (5:30am start if pre-op, and overtime and weekend work may be required)
- To deputize in the absence of the Production Manager
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience with SOPs and other manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Following and understanding verbal and written job instructions
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
