      Job summary

      Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a skilled Maintenance Assistant to help provide a safe & healthy environment for our patients & service users at Cygnet Hospital Ealing. At Cygnet Hospital Ealing you will be working 37.5 hours per week working (8am till 4pm) working Monday to Friday.

      Main duties of the job

      Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards. Facilities include two lounges for each service, en-suite rooms, a Care Programme Approach suite, a large community room and a fully equipped relaxation sensory suite. Outside, we have a pleasant sun terrace and a garden area.

      Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.

      Job responsibilities

      Cygnet Healthcare is looking for a skilledMaintenance Assistant to help provide a safe & healthy environment for our patients & service users at Cygnet Hospital Ealing.

      At Cygnet Hospital Ealing you will be working 37.5 hours per week working (8am till 4pm) working Monday to Friday.

      Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.

      Facilities include two lounges for each service, en-suite rooms, a Care Programme Approach suite, a large community room and a fully equipped relaxation sensory suite. Outside, we have a pleasant sun terrace and a garden area.

      Youre day-to-day....

      • Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
      • Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
      • Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order
      • Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazards
      • Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
      • Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights

      You are

      • Experienced in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments
      • Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
      • Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
      • Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
      • Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance
      • Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude

      Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
