Maintenance Lead - Buffalo Plant

- Leads a team of 12 shift mechanics and electricians (6 and 6)
- Maintenance Lead on Processing FSA team
- Build capability of the line team and technicians to understand their equipment at component level in addition to identifying and resolving defects and improving asset life
- Analysis of equipment performance and improving component life
- Leads portions of the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly DDS (daily direction setting) meetings, including:
- Daily reporting and prioritization of defects found/ fixed as well as total backlog
- Daily reporting of breakdowns as well as initiation and execution of Breakdown Elimination
- Contribute to development and execution of the plan for the day
- Weekly BE dice chart overview and development of line team and technicians through sharing and educating BE learnings
- Weekly tracking and reporting of maintenance measurement data - Backlog, MTTC, PM Completion (Indicators of health of P&S system)
- Identifies and address safety risks related to maintenance activities (standard and non-standard) and prioritizing safety risks identified through DH. Includes maintenance work completed during planned stops
- Deliver spring plan M/R Costs for the Line (Materials, Services, OT)
- Maximo data integrity and adherence to Maximo standards
- Health of DH system: Leads documentation of standards and coaches the Line Team and technicians through the identification, prioritization, and resolution of defects
- Breakdown Elimination: Identification of triggers, tracking of BE’s through dice chart, ensuring completion of BE’s and implementation of countermeasures
- Planning & Scheduling: Plans, schedules, and assigns all work (CM and PM) for the line prioritizing as it relates to addressing top stops/ losses. Including shutdown planning
- Supports development and leads execution of 90-Day improvement plan to deliver glidepath through loss elimination
- This Maintenance Lead will directly manage the shift mechanics and shift electricians

- Workbrain/Workforce/Administrative Tasks
- Onboarding of employees
- Team Development
- Pay and Performance management
- Own accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics for shift
- Execution of shift specific improvement plan actions
- Coordination/ execution of shutdown activities
- Associates Degree degree in Engineering or related degree with applicable experience or extensive relevant work experience
- Demonstrated understanding of maintenance skills (lubrication, welding, machining, materials, basic electrical, machine repair) and experience with CMMS systems
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication; ability to provide constructive feedback, build strong relationships, implement strategies, and drive change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and lead teams, coupled with strong analytical abilities (proficient in Microsoft Excel) and a capacity to identify and address training needs
- Adept at planning, organization, prioritization, and the application of CI tools and methodologies
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and varied work schedules, including weekends
- 5 years prior maintenance leadership in a manufacturing plant
- Demonstrated ability to enforce all FDA, EPA, OSHA, and GMI specific safety and regulatory laws, policies, or practices
- Working knowledge of Line Centric teams
- Prior experience and knowledge of the Maximo CMMS System Opportunity to technically develop and coach others
- International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

The Maintenance Lead provides front line safety and engaging leader-based leadership to achieve breakthrough production results on their platform / system. The Maintenance Lead is responsible for building capability in Operating Teams and Equipment Owners. The Maintenance Lead works to eliminate losses following a rigorous daily process that is data driven and focused on root cause elimination. The Maintenance Lead is accountable to improve the reliability of the system through ownership in defect handling, breakdown elimination and planning and scheduling. This position leverages the process discipline of continuous improvement tools. The Maintenance Lead is the Planned Maintenance (PM) System owner for their lines.
This position is a first-shift role requiring rotating weekend coverage.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $103200.00 / Annually.
